Whilst Peru produces some of the world’s finest coffees, production is coming under threat more and more by the problems and issues associated with climate change. A decrease in annual rainfall and rising temperatures is making it harder for smallholders across the country to regularly produce enough coffee, with many turning away from their reliance on coffee in general.
